Our thatha, Major Karumatti Narashimachar Rangaswamy - TA Battalion Madras - who saw action in the Indo-Pak & Indo-China war (1961-1965), found solace in cooking after his retirement. What began as a healing process for his war-battered soul turned into delicious comfort food that he lovingly passed down to us, his grandchildren.

Now, we wish to share these flavors with the world. Have them with rasam, kozhambu, or thair sadham - simple, comforting, and made the Old fashioned way.
